How The Vacuum Still Works

Ethanol extraction from a botanical wash or tincture is completed by removing the ethanol from the mixture, leaving a beautiful concentrate behind. The Torr Kitchen solution does this under vacuum at an amazing 80–95°F, providing amazing compound preservation. The vapor is condensed back into liquid and recovered with near-perfect efficiency while completely sealed, inside the closed loop.

A Vacuum Pump pulls the system down to a deep vacuum while the Heat Source delivers very low heat beneath the Loading Vessel, causing ethanol to boil, turn into vapor, and leave the solution. The vapor passes through the Condenser, returns to liquid, and is recovered at high-proof purity for reuse in the Recovery Vessel, with the resulting concentrate still in the Loading Vessel.
